His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, which discussed the new ‘Emirati School’ system to be implemented in 800 government-run and private schools across the country.
In a tweet, Sheikh Mohammed said that the system includes new learning methods for general, advanced, elite and professional streams. Dh5 billion was allocated for development of education in the next six years, it added.
During the meeting, we also approved a federal law for care of the elderly that ensures their medical treatment, and safeguards their rights, the tweet said The Cabinet okayed an amendment to the law of commercial entities that allows right to change its status to public joint stock companies, especially the family-owned entities. We approved a new move to create a system that can link all transactions among different countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, said the tweet.
During the meeting, the Cabinet gave nod to the structure of foreign direct investment committee which will review all investment requests and facilitate the proposals.
